Position Details

Title: Staff Nurse III

Department: Health Services

Location: Arlington, TX

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Status: Full-time

Job Summary

The Staff Nurse III provides administrative and clinical nursing support and supervision and coordination of nursing personnel in the absence of the nursing supervisor. Make nursing decisions based on critical thinking and knowledge of best practices. Supervise and delegate patient care through auxiliary personnel as appropriate. Serve as referral coordinator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and participate in evaluation and care with providers. Provide patient care instructions and education. Triage walk‑in or call‑in patients to determine immediate needs. Provide emergency care when needed.
  • Manage patient flow in the General Clinic.
  • Referral coordinator – assisting patients with referrals and following up for completion of referrals.
  • Cross‑trained to work in the immunization clinic and gynecological services clinic.
  • Train new clinical nursing staff.
  • Trained on the ordering of supplies and supply management.
  • Inventory management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Registered Nursing Licensee with a current Texas license and one (1) year of experience as a practicing nurse.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN), Familiarity with AAAHC requirements.
  • Prior Supervisory experience.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Nursing critical thinking and knowledge of evidence‑based best practices.
  • Nursing clinical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Clinical Facility.
