Job Overview
We're looking for Medical Surgical RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Arlington, TX. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
Responsibilities- Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post‑op patients.
- Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
- Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patients.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by a physician.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. Should be able to lift 20 pounds easily; occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required. Work in a fast‑paced environment treating patients that may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative.
Requirements- BLS certification
- 1 year of experience
* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
