Registered Nurse Supervisor – Med/Surg
Location:
Medical City Arlington.
Shift: Full-Time, Days (with rotating weekends).
Job SummaryAs the registered nurse supervisor, you will coordinate patient care, lead nursing staff, and ensure high quality, patient-centered care throughout the unit/department during your shift. You will collaborate with the management team to evaluate nursing practices, provide guidance, and support operational initiatives to improve outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care quality in collaboration with the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Engage in service recovery when needed, supporting a patient-first philosophy.
- Operationalize nursing strategies such as employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement.
- Recommend and implement personnel actions, training, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions to maintain a strong organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- No travel required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a nursing role.
