Work hours:
Full-time, Day Shift, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 6:45 am – 7:15 pm NICU Department highlights:
Level III NICU Unit where our team is like a family with a strong participation in our UBC, great relationship with our physicians and advancement opportunities Self-scheduling Our department includes 22 beds in the level III NICU Average of 100 deliveries a month
Here's What You Need Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred RN
- Registered Nurse Upon Hire required BCLS
- Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required NRP
- Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire CPI
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days 1 year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required At least 1 year of NICU experience preferred What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
