Medical Surgical Floor RN Arlington, TX. This position involves providing quality care to post-surgical and acute care patients within a fast-paced, high-energy unit. The role requires delivering patient-centered services on a 12-hour day shift, supporting a unit with a mix of surgical and pain management cases.

  • Unit information includes a 30-bed capacity with staffing supported by 1 charge RN per shift, alongside 4-5 RNs, 2 patient care technicians, 1 health unit coordinator, and 1-3 sitters depending on patient census.
  • Equipment used includes Hoyer lifts, Sara Steady, and bladder scanners.
  • EMR system in use is Meditech.
  • Typical procedures include post-surgical care, cystoscopy with stent placement, pain management, and care for CIWA patients.
