Occupational Health Registered Nurse
Needed for a 1st shift, full-time, ongoing contract opportunity with Yoh’s well-known manufacturing client located in Arlington, TX.
This position is primarily focused on occupational health administration, compliance reporting, and case documentation, with occasional direct patient care. The RN will spend a significant portion of the workday managing OSHA records, Workers' Compensation documentation, health surveillance records, and corporate reporting requirements while supporting employee health services.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Flexibility needed for earlier/later start and end times, as-needed, to cover shift changes.
Top Skills You Should Possess:- Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of Texas
- Minimum of 3-5years' experience as a Nurse in an Occupational Health, Employee Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Corrections, School Nursing, and/or Family Practice type setting
- Flexible, adaptable, reliable, friendly, and helpful employee
- High level of initiative and sound independent judgment
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, workflows, and compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational, attention-to-detail, and time-management skills in a high-volume environment
- Strong computer proficiency and confidence navigating EMR systems and electronic documentation with exceptional documentation habits
- Assessment, triage, treatment, and education for sick or injured employees
- First-aid and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses within standing orders
- Promote wellness/wellbeing initiatives at the site
- Provide medical testing such as: drug screens, vision testing, pulmonary function, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol
- Interface with health services customers in a knowledgeable and professional manner
- Charting/documentation of careusing EMR system (Cority)
- Assist plant physician in minor surgical procedures
- Respond to medical emergencies on the campus, asneeded
- Ability to commit to a Monday-Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm schedule (the ideal candidate needs to be flexible for earlier/later start/end times, as needed, to potentially help during shift changes)
- Current CPR/BLS
- Computer skills with previous experience using EMR (Cority experience a bigplus!)
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
- This position requires the knowledge of the prevention of illness and injury, protection from work related and environmental hazards, and promotion and restoration of health
