Penny Paws Animal Clinic in Arlington, Texas, is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our weekend vaccine clinic. This part-time position is designed for a skilled, motivated veterinary professional who enjoys preventive care, connecting with clients, and working as part of a fast-paced, collaborative team.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Do

• Perform blood draws and collect diagnostic samples for laboratory testing
• Administer vaccines, medications, and treatments as directed
• Safely handle and restrain patients of varying sizes and temperaments
• Assist veterinarians with patient care during vaccine and wellness appointments
• Obtain relevant patient histories and communicate information clearly to the veterinary team
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records
• Educate clients on preventive care recommendations and next steps
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment is clean, organized, and ready for patient care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
• Collaborate with doctors and teammates to maintain an efficient patient flow
• Contribute to a positive, supportive, and team-centered hospital culture

What You’ll Bring

• Previous Veterinary Technician experience
• Confidence performing blood draws and other routine technical procedures
• Knowledge of preventive care and vaccine protocols
• Safe and compassionate patient handling and restraint skills
• Strong communication and client-service skills
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with animals of all sizes and temperaments
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
• Strong attention to detail and accurate medical recordkeeping
• Familiarity with veterinary practice-management software is a plus
