Quality Inspector Needed - Integrated Manufacturing

Cummings Electrical, one of the leading providers of electrical contracting services in DFW, is currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector who is responsible for ensuring that the Electrical Integration team installs products that meet or exceed the expected standard of quality. The role involves conducting Quality Inspections and performing hands‑on tasks related to Quality functions, while promoting high quality standards for all products being integrated or installed.

Cummings Electrical is expanding its Integrated Manufacturing team. We design and build custom, integrated, modular systems such as e‑houses, electrical skids, HAC’s and UL 508A panels for a wide range of projects—including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Submission of Non‑Conformance Reports to Supervisors
  • Preparation of daily/weekly progress reports
  • Hands‑on tool use for Quality Inspections
  • Reviewing the Quality Management System and identifying issues
  • Maintaining emphasis on achieving the highest quality standards for products and services
  • Providing guidance, support, and motivation to Quality Technicians and the Electrical Integration Team
  • Overseeing Quality Inspections conducted by Technicians
  • Verifying that the correct product is used during the installation process
  • Initiating Quality Standards from contractor document submittals and specifications
  • Maintaining and improving existing standards and guidelines, implementing industry and company best practices
  • Ensuring product quality does not waver, regardless of schedule or cost impact
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of quality‑control activities to ensure proper documentation
  • Interacting closely with internal teams to meet project needs and objectives while maintaining the highest standards of work
  • Collaborating with Integration Supervision, Electrical, and Quality Technicians to ensure installations meet or exceed customer specifications and expectations
  • Filling out task‑related documentation
  • Conducting inspections and tests on products or services at various stages of production or service delivery
  • Initiating correspondence regarding deficient products or installations, including Non‑Conformance Reports and related documents and pictures
  • Ensuring company‑assigned tools and assets are in good condition
  • Performing additional duties as required
Work Schedule
  • Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (subject to business needs)
  • Occasional Saturdays as required
  • During active projects, hours may shift to 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with some Saturdays
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years licensed Electrical Apprentice experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and electrical installations
  • Fundamental comprehension of Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
