Fueling Success in this Role
VP Racing is seeking a Chemist with strong analytical expertise and hands‑on laboratory experience to support the quality, safety, and continual improvement of our fuels and chemical products. This role is primarily responsible for testing, analyzing, and releasing raw materials and finished products in accordance with company SOPs, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, while also contributing to research and development initiatives across our Elmendorf, Texas plant.
This is a high‑impact, detail‑driven role ideal for a chemist who can independently perform analytical testing, maintain rigorous documentation, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all laboratory data. The Chemist will also play a key role in method development, product improvement, and maintaining a safe, compliant laboratory environment.
What you’ll do- Responsible for testing and release of raw materials and finished products as per company's standard operating procedures and industry guidelines.
- Assist in research & development and the continual improvement of products.
- Keep apprised of developments in industry and chemical streams.
- Accountable for ensuring that the analytical data generated for samples are accurate, precise and in compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
- Prepare reagents, samples, and standards according to procedures.
- Document testing, observations, deviations, OOS investigation and results clearly and completely.
- Read and understand internal SOPs and analytical procedures.
- Occasionally write standard operating procedures and analytical methods.
- Assures that all laboratory functions are performed in a safe manner, following all relevant company and department safety rules and procedures. Assures that good housekeeping is maintained in the laboratory and other work places.
