Research Scientist Assistant I (Part-Time)
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $21.50 to $23.50. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.

Supports research projects by conducting data collection, analysis, and reporting. This role involves collaboration with principal investigators, adherence to research protocols, and contribution to scholarly outputs.
Essential Functions- Gather and synthesize relevant academic and industry research to support project objectives.
- Assist in developing study protocols, questionnaires, and data collection tools.
- May assist with the procurement of lab supplies.
- Perform data gathering through surveys, interviews, experiments, or secondary sources; ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Draft research findings, technical reports, and contribute to manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
- Adhere to ethical standards, institutional review board (IRB) requirements, and funding agency guidelines.
- Coordinate with investigators, graduate students, and external partners to achieve project milestones.
- Prepare presentations for conferences, seminars, and stakeholder meetings; communicate results clearly to diverse audiences.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Social Sciences, Engineering, or related discipline) and two (2) years of research experience (academic or industry).
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with grant writing and research funding processes.
- Familiarity with advanced statistical methods and data visualization tools.
- Prior experience publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent organizational, quantitative, computational and record keeping skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to work independently
- 19 hours per week
- Part-time hours will fall between Monday through Friday, 8:00am through 5:00pm
- 5 year term;
Position funded through 8/31/2031
- May work around standard office conditions
- May work around chemicals
- 10% Travel
- Requires occasional evening or weekend hours
- Moving and transporting items > 20 lbs
