Snack Bar Attendant

The Snack Bar Attendant plays a crucial role in providing a positive guest experience by efficiently preparing and serving snacks, beverages, and concessions at the roller skating rink. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to cleanliness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining food safety standards.

• Customer Service:
  • Greet guests warmly and take snack and beverage orders promptly and accurately.
  • Provide friendly recommendations or answer questions about menu items.
  • Handle cash, credit, or other payment methods with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Maintain a positive and welcoming attitude towards all guests, including children and families.
• Food Preparation & Service:
  • Prepare snack bar items such as popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, candy, and beverages following health and safety guidelines.
  • Operate snack bar equipment safely and effectively (e.g., popcorn machines, pizza ovens, soda fountains).
  • Keep the snack bar stocked and organized, replenishing items as needed during shifts.
  • Package snacks and drinks for guests quickly and neatly to minimize wait times.
• Cleanliness & Safety:
  • Maintain cleanliness of the snack bar area, including counters, equipment, and floors, throughout the shift.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation protocols to ensure food safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Dispose of trash and recycling properly and keep waste areas tidy.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to management promptly.
• Inventory & Record-Keeping:
  • Assist with inventory counts and restocking supplies as requested.
  • Track sales and cash drawer totals accurately, reporting any discrepancies.
  • Assist in receiving deliveries and storing stock appropriately.
• Teamwork:
  • Collaborate effectively with rink staff to support overall operations, especially during busy events or parties.
  • Assist with cleaning and closing duties as needed.

• Previous experience in food service or retail preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be reliable and punctual, with a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
