With moderate supervision, the Retail Keyholder assists the store management team in executing and supervising all store activities and provides outstanding guest service experiences within Game Stop’s Circle of Life buy, sell, trade, and reservation business model.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide best‑in‑class guest service: greet guests promptly, respond to questions and concerns courteously, help guests with their video‑gaming needs, inform them about special promotions and the trade‑in program, recommend items, apply all selling behaviors during each transaction, and express gratitude to every guest. Prioritize guests over tasks.
  • Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
  • Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS system, ensuring top‑notch service.
  • Address guest comments or questions in person or on the phone, answering calls promptly and professionally.
  • Promote Game Stop’s unique guest benefits, including the new title reservation program and the Pro Rewards loyalty program.
  • Ensure all areas of the store, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised according to company guidelines; maintain fixtures and equipment in working order.
  • Complete Omni‑Channel orders daily.
  • Safeguard company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention practices, including scam awareness and safety best practices, and make bank deposits as required.
  • Conduct store inventory counts, stock or restock merchandise on shelves, move products from the stock room to the front of the store, and ensure items are represented, organized, and alphabetized.
  • Support store management in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative and operational duties.
  • Count, balance, and reconcile daily business transaction totals accurately in the POS system; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposit slips correctly; assist in ensuring sufficient cash and change; make daily bank deposits following guidelines.
  • Check shipments for discrepancies or shortages, record them in the POS system, and report them to the appropriate manager.
  • Process defectives, recalls, and stock pulls accurately and promptly with proper labeling.
  • Visually inspect associates’ and leaders’ packages and/or belongings at store closing or at the end of a shift.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management.
  • Consistently adhere to Game Stop policies and procedures, including the Associate Handbook and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.
  • Follow all opening and closing procedures.
  • Observe associate performance and provide timely and appropriate feedback to store management.
Qualifications
  • Proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
  • Minimum 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
  • Video‑game knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.
