Compensation

$10.00 to $14.00 per hour.

Commission of up to 8% per transaction, which could average an additional $4.41 per hour on top of the base rate.

Entry‑level, full‑time Retail Sales Associate in pawn store locations nationwide. The associate greets, engages, and assists customers with sales, loans, and other transactions, working with jewelry, general merchandise, and firearms (in FFL locations). The role supports both lending and retail sides of the business and contributes to a positive customer experience.

• Greet and interact with customers, building rapport and recommending financial solutions.
• Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions per established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items in accordance with company policies.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers, demonstrating respect and effective communication.
• Participate in required training.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform tasks requiring standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods, in compliance with federal, state, and local law.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from external storage areas.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient with basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit from personal performance. Detailed plan information is provided during the interview process.
