Retail Sales Associate

Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more. The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, PLUS employees earn commission based on productivity. The successful Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate's pay is based on factors such as work location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains the display of merchandise.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items following established policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers and collaborates to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training and performs other related duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, etc.).
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• Employees may be asked to assist a customer on exterior areas or retrieve products stored externally.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations; cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and standard office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
