Retail Sales Associate

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to provide customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and helps customers with sales, loans, and other transactions across jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and general merchandise.

$10.00 to $14.00 per hour plus commission. Associates can earn up to 8 % on transactions, potentially averaging an additional $1.00 per hour on top of the hourly rate. Commission details are provided during the interview process.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items following established procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborates with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

• Willing to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May assist customers outside the store or retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers and work in a team.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible with retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
