Under direct supervision of the Store Director, the Receiving Clerk will be responsible for the entire operation of the receiving department for the store. The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving and inspecting merchandise, maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with suppliers, ensuring timely distribution to the store, complying with safety and hygiene standards, performing regular audits, and supporting other store operations as needed.
Qualifications- Read and write Spanish and English; interact effectively with the general public and co‑workers.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
- Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Basic PC/Outlook skills.
- Retail Management Certificate.
