Senior Market Manager

Job Overview

As the Senior Market Manager, you will be the lead role for on and off premise in the Houston Texas area. You will design, promote and ensure execution of programs and incentives to help achieve division profit and volume goals. You are a creative multi-tasker who will work directly with local distributor management and sales reps, along with RCUSA local and National account teams to manage on premise initiatives;

and works directly with key accounts on the local execution of RCUSA brand programs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Key role for your market with responsibility for programming for your area.
  • Ensure RCUSA programs are developed, executed and drive measurable results.
  • Play a leadership role in Regional and National accounts sales, distribution and menu development.
  • Work directly with distributor sales team to drive activation, visibility and segmented availability for core brands.
  • Secure menu placements, manage local POS needs, organize market blitz activity and staff trainings, and ensure proper execution against agreed upon goals.
  • Create action plans to drive programming that will meet KPIs objectives.
  • Provide creative solutions to any challenges that arise from key accounts or the distributor.
  • Provide feedback on program results, key account performance and competitive intelligence.
  • Work closely with the RCUSA Trade Marketing teams to ensure national brand programming is executed with distinction.
  • Work with RCUSA Brand Development Manager (BDM) to ensure strategic account targeting and flawless execution of events and promotional platforms.
  • Understand pricing fundamentals to promote RCUSA pricing strategy in order to ensure the delivery of the brand standards.
  • Monitor and operate within budget.
  • Work-related travel (some overnights) of up to 20% of total work time is required. May include nights/weekends.
Key Accountabilities
  • Execute against established KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) to generate measurable results against company and brand specific initiatives.
  • Deliver regular updates on activation execution, local sales trends, and opportunities.
  • Participate in Monthly sales meetings at distributor.
  • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews with distributor management
  • Monitor and report on competitors’ activities, key tools and success stories.
  • Ensure relevant customer/consumer information is fed back to the line manager and Brand/Area Manager.
  • Be responsible for company equipment and tools in their possession.
  • Work within established standards of performance and budgetary guidelines.
  • Educate oneself and attend necessary training to keep abreast of emerging trends.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned.
Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5-7 Years of previous Sales experience, preferably in beverage alcohol with at least 2 years of experience directly managing people.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Impact and Conviction – shared passions and philosophy.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with an ability to work well and meet deadlines under pressure, keen attention to detail.
  • High energy, progressive, free thinker with the ability to function autonomously.
  • Excellent personal presentation and communication skills in all media, across a range of group sizes and to audiences of differing levels of knowledge and understanding. Fluent English required.
  • Knowledge of the category and the company’s products in terms of history, key selling points etc.
  • Craft spirits oriented.
  • Good commercial awareness and selling techniques/skills. Sales and marketing knowledge a plus
  • Familiar with luxury consumer brands and marketing.
  • Proven ability to utilize consumer insights to drive brand essence and positioning.
  • This role may require evening and weekend coverage on occasion – it is a full-time role with non-standard hours.
