Business Development Representative - Public Sector

Overview

As a Public Sector Business Development Representative, your role is to find and create new sales opportunities across Federal Accounts via prospecting and conducting cold outreach. You’ll research agency priorities, modernization initiatives, cybersecurity and data governance challenges, and emerging AI risks to help align AvePoint’s solutions and services to mission‑critical needs. You will work closely with Account Executives to develop account strategies, engage key stakeholders, and build pipeline within complex public sector environments.

As a Public Sector Business Development Representative, you will support the team by identifying and qualifying potential agencies and prospects, positioning AvePoint effectively to facilitate high conversion of leads, working with Public Sector Account Executives to help prospect their territories, recording accurate customer data into our CRM system, and participating in onsite ABX/field marketing events.

• Researching, identifying, and qualifying potential agencies and prospects
• Positioning AvePoint effectively to facilitate a high conversion of leads to qualified pipeline opportunities by executing and communicating effective product and solution‑based messaging
• Working with Public Sector Account Executives to help prospect their territories
• Recording accurate customer data into our CRM system
• Participating in onsite ABX/field marketing events

• Bachelor’s degree (required)
• Prior cold calling experience (preferred)
• Experience and knowledge in the Public Sector (preferred)

The Salary Range for this role is $50,000 - $65,000. At AvePoint, we strive to offer competitive, fair, and equitable total rewards. The listed salary range represents a good faith estimate, with final offers based on location, experience, skills, and qualifications. The listed range reflects base salary only; our total rewards include base salary, comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, unlimited PTO), and, depending on the role, bonuses, commissions, or equity (RSUs).
