Area Manager, Client Relationship Manager
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct a team of sales and sales service professionals across multiple districts to achieve business, sales, renewal and profit goals within the assigned region.
- Achieve revenue and retention targets for the defined region and market channel.
- Create and execute growth and retention strategy for the region, ensuring rigorous sales and service processes.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders and clients, gaining insights into their business and needs.
- Provide monthly forecasting and accurately predict sales revenue.
- Drive collaboration within the team and foster a clients‑first mentality across the organization.
- Hire, coach, develop and mentor a strong team, spending time in the field with sales and service reps.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Proven experience with full customer lifecycle - strategic selling knowledge, sales methodology, and process.
- Ability to write a business plan and demonstrate a business mindset.
- Client‑first mindset and strong communication skills.
- Strategic thinking ability and accountability for driving a successful team.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team, foster collaboration, and develop talent.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools and technology used by the organization.
- Willingness to travel frequently out of town.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in the legal/tax information industry, electronic information industry, or with Bloomberg Industry Group.
- Minimum 3 years of sales management experience, preferably in the same industries or with Bloomberg Industry Group.
- Experience in sales management with comparable companies may be considered in lieu of internal experience.
Salary range: $ – $. Placement in the range will be decided upon completion of the interview process and will be based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, demonstrated skills, education, certifications, and geographic location.
