Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our One Water group as an Environmental Scientist.
Responsibilities include:- Assisting with wastewater/water discharge permitting, which includes completing permit applications and processing of draft permit documents
- Assisting with development of technically based local limits and implementation of pretreatment programs
- Conducting surface water quality studies
- Writing technical reports
- Completing field surveys and site visits
- Consulting with clients and resource agencies
- Assisting with business development through client relationships and presentations at organization meetings and conferences
- Some travel will be required
- The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in chemistry, biology, ecology, environmental science, or a related field
- At least five years of relevant work experience
- Completing Texas Commission on Environmental Quality permit application forms
- Creating figures required to be submitted with applications
- Reviewing and validating analytical data for water, non-potable waters, and biosolids
