Location: Arlington, Texas
Employment type: Full‑time
Salary range: $32–$55per hour (about $66,560–$114,400 per year). Open listings in the Dallas‑Fort Worth area show journeyman electricians earning $25–$55 per hour, with the top employers offering wages at the upper end of this range. Our pay range sits near the top of the market and comes with overtime, a bi‑weekly pay schedule and rapid advancement opportunities.
- Carry standard equipment and parts; travel between job locations.
- Inspect, assess and diagnose electrical issues; communicate with clients about necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Choose appropriate materials, install and maintain wiring, plugs, panels and switch gear.
- Set up and maintain electrical machines and troubleshoot equipment.
- Monitor inventory, log time and materials for each job and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and provide professional, friendly service.
- Mentor apprentices and assist master electricians on large projects.
- Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good arithmetic, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in confined spaces.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; commitment to continuous learning.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
