As a technician, you’ll be on the move, working independently in the field with a company-provided vehicle. Utilizing cutting-edge ticket and claims management systems, you’ll ensure precise and thorough mark-out services for excavators and property owners.

Your Responsibilities as a Locator:
  • Utilize locating equipment to identify gas lines in assigned areas and clearly mark them with paint and flags to prevent utility damage. Occasionally, hand digging may be necessary to expose gas lines.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of underground utility infrastructures.
  • Adhere to all company, client, and governmental guidelines for damage prevention.
  • As part of the AGO division, you may also locate additional utilities depending on your project assignments.

These are full-time, daytime roles. We aim for a 48-hour turnaround for many locates, so flexibility for holiday work and some weekends may be required, along with overtime and on-call shifts.

What We Need from You (Our Requirements):
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions; previous outdoor experience is a plus.
  • Availability to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.
  • Local travel during business hours; occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
  • Ability to pass a drug test due to the safety-sensitive nature of the role.
  • Valid driver s license and a clean driving record.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods over uneven terrain, bend, and lift items up to 75 lbs.
  • Color vision to identify wiring and underground utilities.
  • Technological proficiency.
  • Ability to read and understand locate tickets, maps, and basic math for distance calculations.
  • Strong communication skills for interactions with colleagues, customers, and contractors; customer service experience is beneficial.
