Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent full‑time position where you will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines for our extensive range of heavy equipment and motors. You will be integral to our manufacturing operations, ensuring optimal performance. The role requires a hands‑on approach, keen eye for detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret results to identify mechanical problems.

Carry out routine maintenance work, including replacing parts, servicing, and checking performance of heavy equipment and motors.

Repair and replace faulty parts and components, including pistons, bearings, gears, valves, and bushings.

Overhaul and test major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.

Inspect, repair, and maintain various types of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, cranes, graders, and excavators.

Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work, including time taken and parts used.

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Keep up‑to‑date with latest developments in diesel engine technology and incorporate this knowledge into your work.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic.

Extensive knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.

Proficiency in using diagnostic testing equipment.

Ability to interpret technical manuals and drawings.

Proven track record of carrying out repairs and maintenance to a high standard.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.

Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical issues in simple terms.

Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy machinery.

Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects.

Diploma or certificate in diesel engine repair or related field preferred.
