Position Overview
The Electrical Service Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and quality of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance on active construction sites and in homes that have already closed and are now occupied by homeowners. This position involves interpreting blueprints, performing field diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and ensuring strict code compliance.
Job Location:
Arlington, TX.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential or commercial construction environments, including post‑construction service in homeowner‑occupied residences.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform field diagnostics using tools such as multimeters and circuit testers.
- Diagnose electrical issues and resolve problems efficiently in the field.
- Set t‑poles and perform advanced electrical service work.
- Run conduit and wire per NEC standards (PVC, EMT, MC, Romex, etc.).
- Mount and install electrical panels, outlets, junction boxes, switches, and fixtures.
- Perform service calls, repairs, and inspections to resolve electrical issues efficiently and effectively.
- Operate and manage a company vehicle/service truck independently.
- Work independently in the field without direct supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Coordinate with general contractors, construction managers, and other trades on job‑site activities.
- Follow safety protocols and comply with OSHA regulations and local electrical codes.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition.
- Complete job documentation accurately, including service reports and materials usage.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service when interacting with homeowners.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2+ years of hands‑on, on‑the‑job electrical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field without direct supervision.
- Experience diagnosing electrical issues, troubleshooting systems, and performing service work.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and work orders.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience setting t‑poles and performing advanced field work.
- Ability to operate and manage a service truck independently.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer‑focused with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

- Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Capability of working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Travel to various job sites within the designated region may be required.
This position requires work in both active construction environments and completed residential homes occupied by homeowners. Job sites may include exposure to construction noise, dust, changing weather conditions, and varying site conditions. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to company safety standards and OSHA regulations is required at all times.
