Summary:
Mechanic
Sunbelt Rentals, a leading equipment rental company, is seeking a skilled mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a varied fleet, including aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and specialty equipment such as generators, pumps, HVAC, and oil/gas systems.
As a mechanic in our safety‑focused environment, you will build and develop skills throughout your career path and work with an incredible team.
Responsibilities- Preventive maintenance of fleet equipment.
- Diagnose and repair diesel, heavy equipment, and specialty line machinery.
- Operate and troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Use a comprehensive set of tools to maintain safety and minimize downtime.
- Adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced operational environment.
- High school diploma or GED; trade school or equivalent training preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, or specialty line equipment such as generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas machinery.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with mechanic’s tools and ability to maintain a well‑organized tool cabinet.
- Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location.
Typical duties require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting ≥ 50 pounds, performed indoors or outdoors as required.
