Automotive Mechanic Journeyman - Arlington, TX

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable Automotive Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team in Arlington, Texas. The Technician will serve various delivery vehicles, heavy‑duty tractors, and trailers including diesel, gasoline and alternative‑fuel (CNG, LNG, propane, hybrid, electric) models.

• Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing ladders and stairs, standing, walking and pivoting throughout the workday.
• Operate standard and manual transmissions and power and pneumatic tools.
• Exercise hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level as required.
• Conduct troubleshooting and maintenance on hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must have an active driver’s license issued by the state.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must be willing to work a night shift from 6:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., Monday–Friday.
• Must possess the hand tools necessary for the job assignment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S.
• Employer will not sponsor visas.

• Current documented Journeyman Automotive Mechanic experience with heavy‑duty vehicles (tractors).
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computers.
• Experience working on CNG (compressed natural gas) vehicles.
• Hands‑on experience with fleet repairs, welding and cutting.
• Experience performing DOT inspections on trucks.
• Dependable attendance and consistent completion of scheduled workdays.
• Availability for varying shifts, overtime and additional hours as needed.
• Wears personal protective equipment as required.
• Comfortable working in environments with variable temperatures, humidity, exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, dirt and noise.
• Works cooperatively in a diverse work environment.
• Effective communication skills through sight, hearing or otherwise.
• Associate’s degree in Auto Tech preferred.

Starting pay is $39.10 per hour with a one‑year progression to top pay of $46.00 per hour. Qualified applicants may earn a salary range of $75,000–$100,000 annually.
