This position is responsible for assisting in upholding a culture built on safety, service, fun and friendliness, integrity, innovation, and results orientation. As a lead carpenter you will fabricate and install wood structures, coordinate training with new carpenters, complete and monitor daily inspections all while ensuring paperwork accurately reflects and documents any findings.
Responsibilities:Assisting inleading the team of carpenters at the park on various projects
• Repairing buildings, structures, doors, windows, roofing, and miscellaneous items to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Inspecting rides, attractions, structures, queue lines, stairs, etc., and reporting and repairing any noted safety hazards
• Ensuring that specifications set by ride manufacturers, corporate policies, and the State of Massachusetts are complied with and documented
• Keeping all daily repair logs and journals current and accurate of maintenance performed
• Ensuring that all rides are clean and visually in compliance with manufacturer's specifications, and the expectations of our guests and management team
• Assisting with daily operations and assignments including material lists, ordering and execution of Maximo
• Performing other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the park
Experience as a Carpenter
• Leadership experience (preferred but not required)
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety
• Friendly, outgoing personality and ability to address guest concerns
• Willingness to work in a high-performance team environment
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accomadations, including walking long distances, standing for long periods of time, lifting, working at heights, etc.
• 18 years old or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving history
