Overview
The Maintenance Technician is Responsible for the proper maintenance of all rides, pools, infrastructure, equipment, water quality, and general maintenance at Hurricane Harbor Arlington.
Reports ToManager of Maintenance
Responsibilities- Oversee the operational functions related to water quality including filtration, circulation, and chemical systems
- Perform daily inspection of facility equipment, physical plant, and conduct pre-opening and closing procedures for all water rides
- Respond to maintenance related calls during park operation and ensure pH levels and sanitation standards are within standard and properly documented
- Assist in the maintenance and overhaul of the rides including repair and replacement of equipment
- Adhere to all department and company safety policies
- Must be able to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions, including prolonged exposure to heat and sun
- All other duties as assigned
- At least 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in either a waterpark or a theme park
- A varied skill set including a general knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry
- Experience in performing minor electrical repairs and maintenance preferred
- The ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
- The ability to physically climb stairs and ladders to the top of ride towers and structures, able to lift up to 50 pounds, to stand for extended periods of time, and to walk the park on a continual basis. Should not have a fear of heights
- Self-motivation and the ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
- Basic computer skills
- Certification as either an Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) or as a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or must obtain such within 6 months
- A valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record
