About the Company: Pumps and Controls is a wholesale water treatment equipment supplier based in Arlington, Texas. Founded in 1986, the company supplies a wide range of pumps and related equipment, delivering fast lead times and 97% same‑day shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair faulty equipment or devices.
- Disassemble units and replace, adjust, or repair parts.
- Document work performed, including diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
- Communicate with customers or internal teams about repair status and recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Keep up-to-date with new products and repair techniques.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Repair Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical and/or electronic troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment (if applicable).
Preferred
Skills:
- Certification in a relevant trade or technical field (e.g., CompTIA A+, HVAC certification, ASE certification).
- Experience with inventory management systems and repair ticketing software.
- Experience with Profit 21 is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license if field work is involved.
- Experience in workshop, warehouse, or field settings depends on the role.
- Ability to handle noise, dust, and heavy equipment exposure.
