General Labor
- Installation Helper

  • $17 per hour
  • 8AM-5PM
  • MONDAY-FRIDAY
Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Labor to join our team. The ideal candidate has construction experience, is comfortable working with low-voltage cabling and equipment, and is willing to work in a variety of environments, including ladders, ceilings, nursing homes and active construction sites.

This position requires someone who can work independently and as part of a team while maintaining high-quality workmanship, following safety procedures, and meeting project deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Install, terminate, test, label, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling and related equipment.
  • Install and service access control, CCTV/security, data, and communication systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, schematics, and project specifications.
  • Route and pull cable through walls, ceilings, conduits, cable trays, and other pathways.
  • Work on ladders and lifts and access above-ceiling areas as required to install and route cabling.
  • Use testing, troubleshooting, and certification equipment to verify system performance.
  • Identify and resolve cabling and equipment issues efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all applicable safety standards, company procedures, and project requirements.
  • Work effectively both independently and with a team.
  • Complete assigned work accurately and within project deadlines.
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and other trades on the job site.
Qualifications
  • Previous construction experience preferred.
  • Experience with low-voltage cabling, security systems, data/communication systems, or related work is a plus.
  • Comfortable standing and working on your feet for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working on ladders and accessing above-ceiling spaces to install and route cables.
  • Ability to work in active construction environments and physically demanding conditions.
  • Ability to use cable testers, certification tools, and other basic testing equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely climb and work from ladders.
  • Ability to access ceilings and other difficult-to-reach areas when required.
  • Ability to lift and carry tools, cable, and equipment as needed.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor construction environments.
