Overview
GM Financial (GMF) is a global auto finance company building platforms to support customers and dealers. We are looking to grow a high‑performing team.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain GenAI software solutions that support the innovation lab's projects.
- Build systems using cloud technologies to train AI models on large data sets and enable these models to generate new, original content.
- Develop UI, microservices and infrastructure as code specifically for solutions utilizing GenAI.
- Develop, code, test, and build CI/CD and AI/ML Ops related infrastructure to support GenAI specific initiatives.
- Contribute to end‑to‑end management of AI solutions.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into software specifications.
- Implement software solutions using a variety of programming languages and technologies.
- Work with business owners to build on new ideas, evaluate concepts and hand them off to development teams.
- Support the entire GM Financial enterprise to test out ideas quickly and work with various groups within the organization.
- Run with an Agile approach to quickly provide results and regularly provide updates on findings.
- Document software solutions.
- 4+ years of experience in software development.
- 3+ years of experience as a cloud developer (preferably on Azure).
- Full grasp of building microservices in the cloud: C#, Node.js, Azure, etc.
- Experience building cloud‑native microservices using containers with Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless technologies.
- Proficiency in relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and No
SQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, CosmosDB. - Knowledge of AI‑centric programming such as Python and libraries such as Tensor Flow, PyTorch, and Keras.
- Data management knowledge, including data pre‑processing, augmentation, and generation of synthetic data.
- Understanding of ethical AI practices: designing generative AI systems that are fair, transparent, and respectful of privacy.
- Proven experience delivering generative AI solutions.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
- Passion for innovation.
- Bonus: past innovation‑lab experience in highly regulated industries.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- 4-6 years of software development experience required.
