JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES
Qualified drivers are needed to staff stores in your area.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver product by car and deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Complete orientation and training on the job.
- You must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Ability to read a map, locate addresses within a designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
- Relevant navigational and motor coordination skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use a calculator).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Good verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Communication skills: comprehend and give correct written instructions; communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Navigation skills: read a map, locate addresses, navigate adverse terrain and multi‑story buildings.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions when performing outside tasks, including delivery and couponing.
- In‑store temperatures range from 36 °F in the cooler to 90 °F or higher in some work areas; sudden temperature changes may occur.
- Fumes from food odors and exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500 °F or higher; sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Standing: most tasks are performed from a standing position.
- Walking: for short distances and short durations; may travel between the store, delivery vehicle, and customers’ locations.
- Lifting: bulk product deliveries twice a week or more, unloading cases up to 50 pounds; lifting from floor and stacking onto shelves up to 72 in high.
- Carrying: large cans (3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lb), trays of pizza dough (three at a time, ~12 lb each).
- Pushing: moving trays on dollies requiring up to 7.5 lb of force.
- Pulling: sometimes required.
- Climbing: navigating stairs or climbing a ladder infrequently to change prices on signs, wash walls, or perform maintenance.
- Forward bending, stooping, and crouching/squatting at the pizza assembly station; durations of 30–45 seconds repeated continuously during the day.
- Reaching: up, down, and forward, including above 72 in for turning oven controls or handling shelves; reaching down for tasks like scooping cornmeal or washing dishes.
- Hand tasks: eye‑hand coordination, frequent use of hands, pinching in pizza box assembly, grasping cans, phones, pizza cutters, and peels.
- Deliver product by car and at customer door.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Make several deliveries per shift.
- Navigate five or more flights of stairs during delivery when required.
