Salary: $20.67 - $25.84 per hour.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, responsible for services for arriving and departing aircraft, providing excellent customer service while performing operations, maintenance, and repair functions related to aircraft, airport equipment, and fueling.

Essential Job Functions
  • Service aircraft: removing trash, providing fueling, lavatory servicing, loading/unloading luggage, towing vehicles, water service, windshield washing, supplying amenities.
  • Safely tow aircraft to and from hangars, operate hangar doors, and ensure clearance before entering hangar.
  • Communicate with Air Traffic Control tower using proper terminology and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants and major tenants’ requirements.
  • Accept delivery of avgas, jet fuel, unleaded gas, diesel fuel, and anti‑icing chemicals; perform quality control checks per NATA and FBO guidelines; record fuel distribution; unload transport trucks.
  • Refill fuel trucks with anti‑icing chemicals.
  • Perform minor maintenance on airport equipment, wash airport equipment and vehicles, schedule safety checks on ground equipment and fuel trucks.
  • Inspect T‑hangars for function and customer adherence to hangar rules and policies; report discrepancies to supervisor or manager.
  • Marshal aircraft on arrivals and departures; greet pilots and passengers; assist with luggage; take written fuel orders and relay to appropriate employee; service oil on aircraft.
  • Drive, service, and fuel all types of aircraft and airport equipment, including refueling mobile refueling trucks.
  • Answer telephones and Unicom during times when Concierge Representatives are not on duty.
  • Perform custodial duties in terminal and corporate hangars, including hangar floors; perform any other duties and responsibilities as directed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of office and administrative practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of FAA Guidelines for airport radio advisory communications.
  • Knowledge of principles, techniques, and hazards of aircraft operations.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements for airport operations.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing airport operations and storage of aircraft.
  • Skill using PC software including current Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional and tactful communication skills with city employees and the public.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Discretion and independent judgment within organizational policies.
  • Ability to work independently under general instructions.
  • Physical abilities: filing, pulling, seeing, sorting, squatting, standing, stooping, twisting, typing, walking, writing; lift up to 75 pounds; operate motorized vehicles and equipment.
  • Ability to perform general maintenance, including minor electrical, mechanical, and building tasks.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations by contacting authorities and maintaining safe operations.
  • Ability to work outdoors up to 70% of time in varying weather conditions.
Qualifying

Education and Experience
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License, Class

    C.
  • High school diploma or GED and one year of airport experience.
  • Preferred:
    Customer service skills and NATA Safety First certifications.

  • Physical Human Performance Evaluation (HPE).
  • Drug/alcohol screens.
  • Motor vehicle report.
