ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Serve as contact person for city delivery service.
Receive orders from stores via phone or invoice, ensuring parts are pulled and ready for delivery by scheduled time.
Ensure accuracy of each order pulled prior to city delivery specialist picking up order for delivery.
Maintain an organized, clean city delivery area divided into areas/bins for each spoke store.
Ensure hub delivery specialists are running on schedule and/or communicate any delays to stores remaining on route.
Continually monitor hub system and routes for ways to increase efficiency, productivity, and/or reduce expenses, and communicate recommendations to store manager.
Make sure all team members assigned to hub are clocking in and out according to company policy.
Research any parts not delivered as scheduled and make any necessary billing adjustments.
Work with store manager to ensure the route is covered in the absence of the regular city delivery specialist.
Work with store manager and delivery specialist to ensure vehicles are well maintained and inspections are completed thoroughly and accurately, and ensure daily mileage is logged into asset management for all vehicles.
Provide input to store manager regarding delivery specialists’ performance in preparation for performance evaluations.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIESRequired:
- Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Familiar with automotive parts
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
