This position is based in Arlington, Texas
, supporting General Motors (GM) operations. Our team plays a critical role in coordinating daily transportation activities, managing driver communication, supporting material flow, and ensuring the seamless movement of freight throughout GM's supply chain network.
- 2nd Shift: Monday-Saturday, 2:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Employees working the Saturday shift have the opportunity to earn overtime pay based on hours worked.
- Process transportation paperwork, manifests, bills of lading, and shipment documentation.
- Track inbound and outbound shipments while maintaining accurate transportation records.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams regarding load status, delays, and service exceptions.
- Assist with driver check-in/check-out activities and daily transportation support functions.
- Update transportation management systems and maintain accurate operational data.
- Monitor emails and respond to customer and driver inquiries in a timely manner.
- Investigate shipment discrepancies and escalated issues when appropriate.
- Support KPI tracking, reporting, and other administrative functions.
- Collaborate with transportation and warehouse teams to ensure efficient freight movement.
- Provide general administrative support to the transportation operation as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0-2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, customer service, or an administrative role preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
