Position Summary
The Material Handler contributes to Joern's daily inbound and outbound warehouse operations and does related work as assigned.
Major
Duties & Responsibilities
* Prepares shipping orders and moves materials by operating material handling equipment.
* Verifies that all orders are filled, packaged and processed correctly.
* Responsible for transaction accuracy
* Load and unload shipments from trucks.
* Check in, put away, and systematic receipt of inbound shipments.
* Responsible for following all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines.
* Must be able to work overtime as required.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Required Skills & Experience
* Must be forklift certified or have the ability to be forklift certified.
* Must be detail oriented.
* 3-5 years' previous warehouse experience
Preferred Skills, Experience & Education
* Familiar with Lean Manufacturing preferred.
* Knowledge of computer applications
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
* Ability to solve problems in a practical manner.
* Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
* Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
