Responsibilities
- Support day‑to‑day warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling.
- Ensure data integrity in all SAP-based transactional activities.
- Collaborate with SC functions, Operations and Maintenance teams to optimize order fulfillment rates.
- Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory processes, reporting discrepancies to the Warehouse Foreman.
- Count, weigh, or measure items, compare identifying information against bills of lading, invoices, or purchase orders.
- Determine shipment methods using third‑party logistics providers.
- Inspect incoming shipments for quality, count, and part number issues, and complete required documentation.
- Fill orders and issue materials, documenting transactions accurately.
- Maintain the inspection and care of small tools, slings, hoists, and other equipment.
- Load and unload materials, operating forklifts and pallet jacks to reposition items.
- Drive company vehicles when required and maintain all necessary licenses.
- Monitor and maintain physical condition of the warehouse, including cleaning and minor repairs.
- Prepare materials for shipping by weighing, packaging, and creating shipping documents.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities, such as team huddles and process reviews.
- Provide training and guidance to other Warehouse Specialists and onboard new personnel.
- Verify received materials against purchase orders or receiving reports to ensure accuracy.
- Resolve quality, count, and part number issues with incoming shipments, escalating unresolved issues to management.
- Handle hazardous material documentation and marking, escalating non‑resolved issues.
- Perform monthly and weekly cycle counts and assist with field site inventory checks.
- Manage after‑hours material requests via phone and SAP, dispatching personnel as needed.
- Ensure safety, health, confidentiality, and environmental compliance at all times.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years of warehouse management experience.
- Familiarity and experience with SAP or an equivalent MRP inventory system.
- Forklift certification with experience operating larger equipment (15,000 lbs).
- Ability to locate within 45 minutes of the facility for after‑hours critical material requests.
- Post‑secondary education and/or a Supply Chain Management designation is preferred.
- Experience with in the oil and gas and/or pipeline industry is a plus.
