We are in search of a Night Warehouse Supervisor to join our growing team. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the distribution center. This position directs and coordinates the activities of the warehouse and transportation operations to obtain optimum use of equipment, facilities and personnel. Supervisors should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations.
Responsibilities- Responsible for warehouse inventory control for the shift
- Responsible for routing for the next day’s delivery tickets
- Responsible for ensuring shift is pulling and loading items for the next day delivery
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance to Warehouse Manager
- Determines staffing levels and assign workload
- Additional duties or special projects as assigned.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse/distributions or related experience required.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Bi-lingual in Englis/Spanish preferred
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong customer service skills to resolve customer complaints and concerns
- Must be able to operate various pieces of equipment including forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks
- Effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization
- Add and subtract three-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s and perform these operations using units of U.S. money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds
