Position SummaryWe are seeking an Accountant to join our team supporting Sprezzatura’s Corporate Accounting and Finance Department. In this role, you will help enter day‑to‑day accounting transactions and support the monthly close process with high accuracy. You should be proactive, willing to grow with our team, and use your GAAP knowledge to record transactions and analyze data to ensure accuracy. Adaptability to new processes and systems, along with expertise with Microsoft Excel and Unanet or Cost Point, is valuable.
Responsibilities- Cash receipts, collections review, and analysis
- Recording financial transactions via journal entries on a day‑to‑day basis
- Assist with month‑end close
- Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
- Review financial statements
- Balance Sheet reconciliation / Bank reconciliation
- Bank and Credit Card reconciliations
- Review Expense Report submissions
- New hire setup in Unanet
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 3‑5 years of experience in a Corporate Accounting department, preferably in federal government contracting
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Attention to detail for transaction entry
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reconciliations
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Team player willing to learn and pick up new skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communicate effectively
- Adaptability to changing technologies and requirements
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
Standard business hours are Monday through Friday. Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs. Travel may be required from time to time for customer meetings and industry events.
