Tax & Assurance Associate

Position Summary

TKR, an independent, full‑service accounting and advisory firm, is hiring a Tax & Assurance Associate. This role involves delivering tax and assurance services, preparing tax returns, researching tax issues, preparing year‑end tax projections, and developing tax planning strategies. The associate will also support audit engagements by planning assurance activities, preparing financial statements, conducting testing procedures, and helping resolve client issues. • Prepare federal and state tax returns and related documents.
• Research relevant tax issues and communicate impact on client businesses.
• Prepare year‑end tax projections and help develop tax planning strategies.
• Plan assurance engagements and prepare financial statements.
• Conduct testing procedures and assist in resolving client issues.

• BS or MS in Accounting.
• Solid academic performance in relevant areas of study.

• Technical accounting knowledge.
• Problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively on a team as well as independently.
• Effective time‑management skills.
• Relevant internship or work experience is helpful, but not required.

Position operates within a U.S. East Coast‑based team, with hours aligning to Eastern Standard Time. We offer flexibility to manage schedules while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance.

Competitive salary range: $78,000–$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
