Tax Manager

Position Overview

TKR is an independent, full-service accounting and advisory firm specializing in accounting and consulting services for businesses and individuals. We are seeking a full-time, experienced tax manager to work with a diverse client base ranging from start‑ups to large trend‑setting companies. The role involves challenging assignments and direct collaboration with partners, senior leadership, and clients.

• Lead client relationships on day‑to‑day tax matters, supporting partners with service execution and development of extended services.
• Plan and participate in tax projects and compliance on various middle‑market client engagements.
• Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow‑through taxation, accounting methods, ASC 740, and implications to owners.
• Research and consult on various tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries when requested, and make recommendations to the client.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on knowledge gained relative to the client’s operations, processes, and objectives.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to deliver superior service.
• Team with partners to develop new business opportunities.
• Train, supervise, and manage staff through counsel, guidance, coaching; evaluate performance and participate in performance review process.
• Manage engagements and projects to achieve revenue and profit objectives, including client budget management, invoicing for time incurred, and fee collection.
• Invest in professional development through active participation in training sessions and networking events internally and externally.
• Demonstrate excellent team skills, a positive attitude, and high ethical standards.

• BS/BA degree in Accounting
• 4+ years of public accounting experience
• CPA or EA licensed
• Self‑motivation
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Master of Science in Taxation is preferred, but not required

This position operates as part of a US East Coast‑based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work‑life balance while meeting business needs. The total rewards package includes a competitive salary range of $120,000–$140,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
