Senior Accountant

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant. This role will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and supporting the organization’s accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger experience and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

• Perform and review general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Lead and support the month-end close process
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger integrity
• Provide support for internal and external audits
  , including documentation and schedules
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support financial reporting needs

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience
• CPA certification preferred (or in progress)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities
