Government Contract Billing Specialist
Arlington, VA - Hybrid
Join a growing finance team supporting government contracting operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist with experience managing federal contract invoicing, reconciliations, and accounts receivable processes.
Responsibilities- Prepare and submit invoices for CPFF, T&M, FFP, and other government contract types.
- Reconcile billed and unbilled balances and support revenue recognition activities.
- Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections efforts.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
- Support contract closeouts, final invoicing, and month-end billing activities.
- Partner with project managers, contracts, and accounting teams to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.
- 3+ years of government contract billing experience.
- Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint, WAWF and Cognos
- Strong understanding of federal contract billing requirements.
- Experience with accounts receivable, reconciliations, and invoice processing.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
- Experience with contract closeouts and indirect rate adjustments.
- Familiarity with government invoicing portals and FAR regulations.
