Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This role will be responsible for supporting the monthly close process, maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys taking ownership of key accounting functions.

• Prepare and post journal entries related to month-end and year-end close.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain the general ledger and support the preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Assist with balance sheet and income statement analysis.
• Reconcile bank accounts, prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany accounts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
• Assist with the annual audit by preparing schedules and coordinating with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Review financial transactions and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
• Partner with departments across the organization to resolve accounting issues and provide financial support.
• Assist with cash management, expense analysis, and other ad hoc reporting requests.
• Contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–6+ years of accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite, Sage Intacct, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.
