Sr. Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join a growing financial services organization in Arlington, Virginia. This role supports alternative investment vehicles and related entities through core accounting, reporting, and financial analysis activities. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of U.S. accounting practices, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and uses technology effectively to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Build a thorough understanding of the firm's private investment offerings, including fund terms, fee methodologies, and performance-related calculations.
• Oversee accounting records for funds and affiliated entities by coordinating with fund administrators and ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and completely.
• Prepare financial analyses, projections, and custom reporting to support business needs and leadership decision-making.
• Address information requests from current and prospective investors with clear, accurate, and timely responses.
• Draft financial statements and examine supporting schedules in preparation for the annual U.S. audit process.
• Partner with external tax advisors to support yearly tax return preparation and required filings.
• Review investor-specific provisions, side arrangements, and contractual terms to help ensure ongoing compliance.
• Contribute to process enhancements, internal controls, and other operational priorities as business needs evolve.
