Position: Executive Assistant (Mid)

Executive Assistant – Mid (National Capital Region)

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings (BAH) is looking for an Executive Assistant – Mid level to provide support to our government customer located in the National Capital Region (NCR). The DRPM MILE program encompasses Administrative, Total Force Management Support, Corporate Communications Support, and IT Management Support services. The Executive Assistant plays a key role in collaborating with leadership and project teams to meet the business objectives of the organization and maintain flow of operations.

The ideal candidate will coordinate and collaborate with internal/external partners for Navy correspondence, tasking system management, records management, and internal document creation/coordination. This position is located at Naval Support Facility–Arlington.

Description of Responsibilities
  • Assist the government to complete action items, including independent gathering, tracking, and analyzing data, coordinating inputs, and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Assist/facilitate preparation of program documentation tailored to intended audiences, such as briefings, executive summaries, white papers, reports, assessments, studies, metrics, and naval messages.
  • Provide administrative support for the assigned government organization, managing action items via action tracker tools, maintaining accurate appointment calendars, managing office and conference room calendars, and serving as the point of contact to schedule and reserve assigned conference rooms.
  • Perform clerical duties, including gathering inputs for data calls and drafting responses.
  • Provide meeting support by documenting meeting minutes, finalizing and distributing them, coordinating meetings, notifying participants, providing agendas, directions, and arranging for appropriate equipment or services.
  • Provide records management support by collecting, organizing, filing, and retrieving documentation in accordance with SECNAV Manual‑5201.2 and local directives.
  • Provide support for e‑mail management, including copying, summarizing, and routing e‑mail traffic to designated personnel, monitoring SIPRNET/NIPRNET for urgent messages, and drafting messages in the correct format for release.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Specialized administrative support experience with a Navy acquisition program or comparable DoD agencies.
  • Experience applying the Navy Correspondence Manual to assigned duties.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (Office 365, DON Tracker, and Defense Travel System).
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to learn and apply administrative support concepts to assigned duties.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Specialized administrative support experience with a Navy acquisition program or comparable DoD agencies.
  • Experience applying the Navy Correspondence Manual to assigned duties.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.

Required Degree, Education, and Certification

Bachelor’s Degree with three (3) years’ experience. Substitution:
Associate’s Degree plus four (4) years of additional relevant work experience.

Citizenship and Clearance Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Active SECRET clearance required.
