JOB SUMMARY
Manages the day-to-day operations of the School of Nursing Professions office with discretion and independent judgment, including collection, processing and analytics essential for student admissions, progression, graduation, and accreditation reports. Serves as a resource for staff in administrative processes across programs within the school.

Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesFormulate data collection tools as needed and then collect, organize, process, and analyze applicable student data associated with admissions, progression, and graduation for department and university assessment and accreditation reports.
Serve as Web Admit administrator, liaison with Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions.
Monitor and track School budget and expenses assuring compliance with university policies and procedures and maintaining confidentiality of data. Prepares purchase requisitions; processes invoices and check requests; runs monthly financial reports to balance budget; coordinates travel reimbursements; basic interpretation of budget documents.
Manages the day-to-day operations of the School office, such as maintaining School calendar, providing general information regarding the university and procedures, answering phone calls and email queries, drafting correspondence; and ordering supplies, classroom and other room assignments; job posting preparation.
Communicates professionally and timely with adjunct faculty and current students regarding School programs including admission requirements and processes, programmatic guidelines, and administrative tasks.
Assists faculty with internal and external grant budget management.
Assists with planning and implementation of special events organization and logistics such as annual interview day, hooding ceremony, and new student orientation.
Has primary responsibility for updating the department web page, preparing weekly department bulletins, event flyers and program banners.
Serves as public face of School to internal and external stakeholders.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required (B.A., B.S.) required, field of Nursing preferred.
Experience1-2 years of administrative experience; working in Higher Ed a plus. Microsoft Suite experience required; strong attention to detail and comfortable handling event logistics.

Financial ResponsibilityReviews and/or approves financial transactions at the function or School level. May require some interpretation of policies. Makes financial decisions within University or accepted accounting guidelines, including review of financial reports, purchasing decisions, contract review/negotiation.
