Position: Administrative Assistant I

One Federal Solution is seeking an Administrative Assistant I to support United States Marshals Service (USMS) management and staff with daily office activities and operational support functions. The selected individual will provide administrative and clerical support in accordance with office needs and program requirements. The Administrative Assistant I must demonstrate professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks in a fast-paced federal environment.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as receptionist by greeting, assisting, and directing visitors.
  • Receive telephone calls and provide accurate and timely messages to staff.
  • Prepare, type, fax, file, copy, print, mail, scan, and email information and correspondence.
  • Review and analyze documents submitted for completeness and accuracy.
  • Work in groups and teams on special projects to accomplish program goals.
  • Communicate via telephone and email with high-level officials throughout the agency, district offices, and contract affiliates.
  • Assist with ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain office files.
  • Handle program-related correspondence and materials while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain chronological and program-related filing systems.
  • Maintain office conference room reservations.
  • Produce correspondence of a minor administrative nature in support of program activities.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust background investigation.
  • Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal employees as well as outside sources.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Compensation

This position is tied to a federally designated labor category with a fixed hourly rate of $21.33/hr.
