This is a highly visible role that works across the organization and serves as the primary point of coordination for office operations, facilities, vendors, workplace services, meetings, events, and employee experience. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, anticipates needs, solves problems, and enjoys creating an environment where people can do their best work.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Own the day-to-day operations of Cedar’s Arlington office, ensuring the workplace is organized, professional, functional, and appropriately supported.
- Manage relationships with building management, facilities providers, and office vendors, including coordinating services, maintenance, repairs, and workplace needs.
- Oversee office purchasing, supplies, services, and related expenses within established budgets and approval guidelines.
- Create a welcoming and professional experience for employees, candidates, business partners, and visitors.
- Coordinate conference rooms, meetings, catering, employee events, leadership visits, and other office activities.
- Partner with HR and IT to support new-hire onboarding, workspace readiness, and employee workplace needs.
- Manage office and workplace projects, including vendor coordination, facilities improvements, office changes, and other operational initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve office operations and employee experience and recommend practical solutions.
- 3+ years of experience in office management, workplace operations, business administration, facilities coordination, executive administration, or a related role.
- Experience independently managing office operations, vendors, purchasing, and multiple competing priorities.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to anticipate needs, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of issues through resolution.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, executives, vendors, and external partners.
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience supporting a growing organization, managing workplace projects or office budgets, or working within real estate, development, construction, finance, investment, or professional services would also be valuable.
This is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of the workplace experience at a growing company. You’ll work across teams, interact with leadership, and have the ability to shape how our Arlington office operates as Cedar continues to grow.
