Position Summary : ACD’s operations are funded through two avenues, dues paid by the members and non-dues revenue created through programs, events and other services. The Coordinator, Business Development will support the growth of both dues and non-dues funds. This position will report to the Senior Director, Membership and work closely with the multiple departments at the Alliance. Additionally, this position coordinates all membership activity and is a critical resource that provides quality services to support the needs of the Alliance and it’s members as it relates to the organization’s mission.
The coordinator will dedicate a significant amount of their time supporting acquisition and retention of members through assistance in prospecting, meeting preparation, and database management. Duties will include:
- Manage and maintain the prospect database for potential members and sponsorship opportunities.
- Assist with all aspects of prospect management including researching contacts, preparing background summaries for staff, assist with call scheduling and identifying new targets.
- Collaborate with the Communications Team on outreach to prospects to include pulling reports, and email campaigns for both member and sponsor prospects.
- Collaborate with Communications and Operations teams to develop PowerPoint and other relevant collateral for presentations and meetings
- Assist in tracking sponsorship fulfillment and assist with developing and implementing new marketing strategies for new opportunities
- Collaborate with Finance team on all membership/sponsorship invoicing and outstanding membership, sponsorship and exhibitor invoices.
The ideal candidate will possess the following traits or qualifications :
- Strong, clear, concise oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter with marketing or business internship experience
- Solid problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Proven track record of responsibility and dependability
- Knowledge of and/or experience with sales and business development principles preferred
- Experience with CRM Software, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
- Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Bachelors degree preferred
